Portrait

»Learning from nature is what drives me in synthesizing functionalized molecules, which can imitate biological processes like the activation of small molecules, catalysis or putting through of light driven reactions. My focus is on transition metals and their special role in those processes. An important aspect of my research is to prepare and understand those systems on a nano scale.«

Felix Tuczek. Since 1999 professor for Molecular Inorganic Chemistry at Kiel University. Before assistant lecturer at the Institute for Inorganic and Analytic Chemistry at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Born in Marburg. In 1989 doctorate, in 1997 habilitation at Johannes Gutenberg University.
