»Green Nanotechnology is the vision of the Nanochemistry and Nanoengineering group. Sustainable fabrication of nanomaterials, nanocomposites and bio-nanocomposites for energy conversion, optoelectronics and environmental remediation applications are the main research areas in my group. Using wet chemistry, electrospinning, physical vapor deposition and biomineralization, we aim at creating smart and advanced materials with diverse multifunctional properties.«

Mady Elbahri. PhD in 2008 at CAU Kiel and since 2009 head of the Nanochemistry and Nanoengineering group located at the Institute for Materials Science at Kiel University  and the Institute of Polymer Research at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht. Born in Egypt, holds both German and Palestinian citizenship.
