»Making science accessible and tangible is the central goal of the public outreach project in the Collaborative Research Center 677. Our activities in science communication focus on different target groups at school or in extracurricular areas of formal education (students, teachers), but also on broader public relations (parents, potential users of research products). Accordingly, our methods span from developing learning media (experiments, new technology like apps and video podcasts) to their conceptual implementation into the classroom, student labs and teacher training, and to the conceptualization of exhibitions suitable for public events and informal learning opportunities.«
