»My primary research interest concentrates on composite materials with magnetic layers, their functional properties and their application in sensors and microsystems. Furthermore, I investigate magnetostrictive tunnel structures, which can be applied as micro structured strain sensors in atomic force microscopes, for instance.«

Dirk Meyners. Since June 2007 research assistant in the working group “Inorganic Functional Materials” of professor Eckhard Quandt. Before that research assistant at the Center of Advanced European Studies and Research in Bonn and at Bielefeld University. 2006 PhD at Bielefeld University in magnetostrictive logic circuits.
