KiNSIS Doctoral Thesis Awards

The call for 2022 is currently in preparation and will be sent to KiNSIS members at the end of 2021.
In the course of this, the documents to be submitted and the selection criteria will also be revised.



The KiNSIS prices for the best dissertation (from last year including the PhD defense) are awarded in the four research areas of KiNSIS:

  •     KiNSIS Physics
  •     KiNSIS Chemistry
  •     KiNSIS Engineering
  •     KiNSIS Life Science


The prices are endowed with 1000 € for each area.

Full members of KiNSIS can make suggestions for their research area. The spokespersons will decide about the awarding. This was decided at the general assembly on 10th of February 2016.


Please send your suggestions including the following documents:

  •     Name, address, E-mail address and bank details of the PhD candidate
  •     Supervisor and title of the dissertation
  •     Copy of the PhD certificate and of university degrees
  •     CV of the candidate including a list of publications, talks and awards, etc.
  •     Statement of the supervisor (max. one page length)
