Early Career Support Programme

ProposalThe core research focus Kiel Nano, Surface and Interface Science encourages young researchers in the field of nano and surface sciences with several activities. In addition to the personal career paths, KiNSIS also strengthens the research in Kiel sustainably.   

The additional funds enable you to explore innovative out of the box thinking and high-risk research, to increase your mobility or to extend your scientific network. Awards honour outstanding scientific achievements. This way, KiNSIS support individuell research profiles of young scientists as well as its own research aims. 

Starting in the summer semester 2020, the young researchers within KiNSIS will be represented by two people in the group of KiNSIS' spokespersons. In March 2021, the kick-off meeting of the KiNSIS Young Academy took place, where doctoral researchers from all areas of KiNSIS are building up a network and jointly developing supporting measurements for the doctoral phase.
